Florida State University student, Harvard summer management graduate joins National Board of Trustee

(TALLAHASSEE, FLA) - The National Association for the Preservation of African-American History and Culture, Inc. (NAPAAHC) is excited to welcome Mr. Jamesio Brown, 21, of Tallahassee to its National Board of Trustees to complete a student term, expiring on June 30, 2016.

“I am looking forward to working with Mr. Brown to further the goals of this budding organization,” said Delaitre Hollinger, Founder and Executive Director of the NAPAAHC. “His record as a community leader, and impressive civic leadership, academic accomplishments, and otherwise will contribute greatly to our aim to increase awareness of the need for historic preservation throughout the nation.”

Brown, an alumnus of Amos P. Godby High School, earned his Associate in Arts degree from Tallahassee Community College (TCC) in 2014. As a TCC student, he took an active role in the Circle K International and Kiwanis organizations. He is a senior Finance and Professional Studies major attending The Florida State University. Mr. Brown, an active member of the community, is a proud graduate of the Distinguished Young Gentlemen of America, Inc. He is also a graduate of the Harvard School of Business, where he received a Certificate of Completion from the highly selective Summer Venture in Management program. Mr. Brown served as a Corporate Finance Intern for Southeastern Grocers, and is a Legal Assistant with The Akbar Law Firm, P.A.

Brown’s appointment begins immediately, and is subject to confirmation at the February 13, 2016 special Board of Trustees meeting.
